A poster explaining the sunlight and its colours.

Sunlight is a mixture of all colours.

When all the colours of white light are separated, they make a spectrum. The spectrum is made up of six bands, with a band of red on one edge and a band of violet on the other.

The bands travel side by side, but it’s impossible to see them individually, unless you view them through a prism.

When light shines on an object, some of the colours are absorbed and others are reflected.
