A sorting by long vowel, short vowel printable.
Use this sorting activity with your students when they are learning to identify the long vowel sounds and short vowel sounds in words.
The vowel sounds needing to be sorted include:
- short a, long a
- short e, long e
- short i, long i
- short o, long o
- short u, long u.
There are four words for each vowel sound. Choose to use all at once or just those for a specific letter.
A perfect literacy groups activity, that students can work together to complete.
