A fun game to play when learning about the properties of materials.

Use this teaching resource in the classroom when teaching Chemical Sciences and learning how to describe the properties of materials.

This is a physical, hands-on method of practising descriptive vocabulary. Students listen to a descriptive word being read and toss a beanbag onto a photograph of an object which matches the description. They also identify the material from which the object is made.

The game includes:

  • an instruction card
  • photograph cards
  • adjective flashcards
