Six mini jigsaw puzzles focusing on the materials objects are made of.
Use this teaching resource when studying Chemical Science to introduce the concept of different materials.
Each four-piece puzzle has images of objects made of a particular material. The materials include: fabric, paper, wood, plastic, glass and metal. Each puzzle is cut in a unique way.
Print, cut and laminate the puzzle pieces and distribute them randomly to students.
Students are required to search for others whose pieces fit with their own. They then deduce why the objects depicted on the pieces go together as a puzzle.
