Back to School Icebreakers on Deck!

Go back to school with our ‘Sing and Share’ icebreaker activity – the perfect way to kick off the school year and get to know your pupils! This fun and interactive activity combines the joy of singing and movement with a meaningful discussion that helps pupils connect with their classmates.

With the ‘Sing and Share’ activity, pupils will start by standing in pairs and singing along to the tune of ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ with altered words that encourage them to move and interact with their partners. After the song, pupils will sit with their partners and use our discussion prompt cards to engage in meaningful conversation. The goal is for each pair to find two things they both agree on, fostering a sense of understanding and connection between the peers.

Once every pair has found two common answers, pupils will stand and find a new partner, and the whole process will be repeated. This fun and engaging activity not only promotes teamwork and collaboration but also helps pupils feel more comfortable and confident in the classroom.
