Information includes:

Where: Formerly found in several countries in East and Central Africa.
How many: 6 in captivity, none left in the wild. (As of 2011)
Why: Poaching has decreased the world’s rhino population to 10% of what it was in 1970.
Rhino horn is sold on the black market for a lot of money. Some cultures believe rhino horn can cure illness, even though there is no scientific evidence to back up this theory.
