A set of partitioning 3-digit number cards to help students identify the place value of hundreds, tens and ones.
Use this teaching resource during numeracy group activities to help students understand the partitioning of numbers and the importance of grouping in hundreds, tens and ones.
Students partition a range of three-digit numbers by connecting them with their corresponding ‘hundreds’, ‘tens’ and ‘ones’ cards.
Print, cut and laminate a class set of the partitioning cards and store in a zip-loc bag. Individually, or in small groups, students connect the number cards with the addition and equals sign cards to create a number sentence.
A black and white version of this resource is also available.
