An editable parts of speech card game.
Use this parts of speech card game with your students as a literacy groups rotation or a fun brain break.
Editable Card Game
The words used in the document can be edited to suit the needs of your class. To ensure the game remains balanced be sure to change words to those of the same type, e.g. nouns to nouns.
Students take turns placing cards in a pile, matching the colour of the card or type of word, e.g. noun, adjective or verb.
The first player to get rid of all their cards is the winner.
Two versions are available for download. One includes labels for the noun, adjective and verb cards, this version is intended for use with students needing assistance with determining the types of words. The second version does not include these labels and requires students to correctly identify the nouns, adjectives and verbs.
The cards included in the game are:

- wild cards.
