A hands-on investigation task that allows students to design, create, and evaluate the effectiveness of a parachute.

Air resistance is a force. When an object falls towards the earth due to gravity, air resistance acts upon the object to slow or stop it falling.
Different materials of varying shapes and sizes can affect the strength of the air resistance force.

This Physical Sciences experiment allows students to investigate air resistance.

Students follow the scientific method to conduct the experiment, then complete the worksheets provided.
