A fun, hands-on board game to consolidate students' understanding of the 'Friends of 10'.

Use this board game when your students are learning about the pairs of numbers that make 10.

Students take turns to roll the dice and move around the game board. Each time they land on a number, they must calculate how many more are needed to make ten. They then collect the same number of gold coins as the number needed to make ten e.g. if they land on four, they will collect six gold coins.

The player with the greatest number of gold coins at the end of the game is the winner!

This teaching resource includes:

  • an instruction card
  • a game board
  • a set of gold coins
  • counters for play.

It is strongly advised to enlarge the size of the game board. Please remember to select landscape as a printing option for the pages in this format.
