A science experiment which explores the growth and change of a seedling.
- Factors which affect the germination of seeds include the temperature, exposure to light, health of soil and availability of water. This Biological Sciences experiment allows students to investigate how soil type affects seed growth.
- Students follow the scientific method to conduct the experiment, completing the worksheet provided. Observations are also regularly recorded to inform the results of the experiment.
- Students contribute to the experiment design by deciding how much to water the seedlings, where to place them and how to measure growth. Individuals are offered different soil types.
