Help your pupils identify their support network of trusted adults with this interactive activity.

Who’s In Your Support Network?

Use this engaging interactive activity to help your class identify the trusted adults in their lives and understand their feelings of safety and discomfort.

The activity starts off by prompting pupils to think about their support network. This could include their parents and teachers. It’s an effective way for them to understand who they can count on when things get tough or situations feel unsafe.

Dive into some everyday scenarios that pupils might encounter, mainly at school. Each scenario comes with a happy emoji and a not-so-happy emoji. Guide your pupils through these scenarios, encourage them to reflect on their feelings, and ask them to choose the emoji that best mirrors their emotions.

This tool is more than just an activity. It’s a chance for your pupils to enhance their emotional awareness and personal safety. It encourages open communication and allows them to navigate their emotions effectively.

Why Use Scenarios in the Classroom?

Scenarios are helpful for young children during learning because they provide concrete and relatable contexts for them to apply their knowledge and skills.

Scenarios allow children to engage in active learning and problem-solving, which enhances their critical thinking and decision-making abilities. By presenting scenarios that mimic real-life situations, children can practice applying concepts, strategies, and skills they have learned meaningfully.
