An activity for students to use when learning about the properties of solids, liquids and gases.
Solids, liquids and gases have different observable properties and behave in different ways.
Using the task cards, students identify each example as a solid, liquid or gas. They then have to justify their classification, providing at least five reasons. This is a great resource to use when reinforcing the properties of states of matter.
The cards could also simply be used as a sorting activity.
Print this chemical sciences teaching resource on thick card for increased durability.
