How can we cultivate safe classroom culture for LGBTQ students and families?
Erin Castillo teaches Special Ed and is a peer counselor in the California Bay Area. She’s a mental health advocate, and today she’s back to talk about how we can help LGBTQ students feel safe, accepted, and loved in our classrooms, how important LGBTQ representation in literature and media is for all students, and how to be an ally and support LGBTQ students and families. We also talk about the mental health check-in chart that she designed for her students.
