Counting to 5 Camping Picture Puzzle

We created this resource for your math centers as an independent practice activity.

To play, students will identify the number on the puzzle piece and cover the matching number of objects to complete the puzzle.

Through this activity, students will show they can count to 5 and match a group of items with a corresponding number.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

A team of dedicated, experienced educators created this resource to support your math lessons.

In addition to individual student work time, use this counting game to enhance learning through guided math groups or remote learning assignments.

If you have a mixture of above and below-level learners, check out these suggestions for keeping students on track with the concepts:

🆘 Support Struggling Students

Help students who need help understanding the concepts by using manipulatives as they count the number of objects on a card. Students can also refer to a number line to help identify their numbers.  Additionally, provide access to previous assignments, as well as posters and anchor charts for students to recall past lessons.

➕ Challenge Fast Finishers

Challenge fast finishers who already understand the concept to record each number on a separate sheet of paper and draw a set of objects to match each number.
