Fractions Anchor Charts for Your Bulletin Board

Once your students have a solid understanding of what fractions are, they’ll be ready to move on to the next step: performing various operations with fractions. Just like regular numbers, fractions can be added, subtracted, multiplied and divided. However, the processes involved can be a little more complicated than with regular numbers!

The experienced team at Teach Starter has created this set of three classroom anchor charts to remind your students of the processes involved in performing various operations with fractions. The content on each poster is briefly outlined below:

  1. Adding Fractions – This anchor chart explains how to add like and unlike fractions in simple steps using the examples provided.
  2. Subtracting Fractions – This anchor chart explains how to subtract like and unlike fractions in simple steps using the examples provided.
  3. Multiplying and Dividing Fractions – This anchor chart explains how to multiply and divide fractions (like or unlike) in simple steps using the examples provided.

These fractions anchor charts download as either a full-color PDF or editable Google Slides file. Choose the file format that best suits your needs when downloading.
