Review Revolutionary War vocabulary with a crossword puzzle.
Easy American Revolution Vocabulary Activities
The American Revolution is a period studied in different grades across the United States. Regardless of the grade level, a unit on the American Revolution can be a very challenging one to teach.
With so many players and moving parts, it can be hard to keep track of everything happening at the time. Reviewing vocabulary is a great way to check in with your students about what they know about the war and what they’ve been learning about it. It is also helpful for reinforcing connections between people and events that led to the American Revolution.
Students will learn about the American Revolution and some key figures and events in this activity. Students will demonstrate an understanding of Revolutionary War people and events by matching vocabulary words to their correct descriptions.
The American Revolution words referenced in this cut-and-paste worksheet are:
The Stamp Act | Benedict Arnold |
Samuel Adams | Loyalists |
Boston Massacre | Patriots |
Paul Revere | The Sons of Liberty |
The Daughters of Liberty | boycott |
