Collect Beginning-of-Year Contact Information with Google Forms
As teachers, we understand the challenges that come with teaching. The beginning of the school year can be a complete mess with all the forms and paperwork you need to collect. We’ve been working on resources to help you tackle that mountain of paperwork quickly and easily.
At the beginning of the year, you want to know as much as possible about your students and collect data so you can organize your workflow and make life easier for yourself and your students. That’s where this form comes in. It’s a simple and essential way to learn about your students, gather contact information, and receive important health and safety information about your students.
Using the Student Information Form
To use the resource, download the resource document with the download button. Once you have made a copy to your Google Drive, you can share the form in several ways. Some ideas for getting parents the link:
- Use an online QR code generator to make a QR code linking to your form. Print and post the code in your classroom and have parents complete the form on Back to School Night.
- Send the link to your Google Form through your school’s messaging system or other parent communication platform.
- Put the QR code on your back-to-school newsletter or About Me letter so that parents.
Once parents complete the form, reopen your form file, and it will have created a handy-dandy student information spreadsheet.
