The Bill of Rights for Kids…Yikes!

Do you need resources to teach about the United States Government? We’ve got the background and the resources you need to make that happen!

The U.S. government was created by the Constitution.. The U.S. Constitution is the home of the Bill of Rights…the document that guarantees equal rights to citizens of our great country. We’ve discovered a common opinion in recent conversations with our teacher friends. Government is, by far, one of the most difficult and abstract concepts to teach in elementary school. We’re here to help you do that!

The Bill of Rights – Simplified with Kids in Mind

This printable book integrates Social Studies, reading comprehension, and vocabulary concepts. This printable book about the Bill of Rights is perfect for young readers to use when learning about their rights as citizens. Most Social Studies texts are written at a level far beyond that of an elementary school student, but this one is written especially for them. It simplifies the Bill of Rights so that students can learn about each amendment. Each page includes a simplified explanation of the amendment, along with places to record images and definitions of the key terms and confusing vocabulary in the Bill of Rights.
