Watch Smiles Grow with Inspirational Affirmations for Kids

Affirmation and encouragement from classmates, teachers and friends can make a world of difference to a child’s school experience.

The Circle of Kindness is an excellent beginning, middle, or end-of-year activity. Have each student write their name on the top of the sheet on the line provided. This activity is best done during circle time, with students taking turns to write something affirming and encouraging about their classmates.

Ideas for Positive Student Affirmations

Some suggested areas of encouragement could include:

  •  Setting and achieving learning goals
  • Being a good friend or classmate
  • Demonstrating acts of kindness
  • Overcoming obstacles
  • Valued character traits
  • Special memories

You never know what your students will come up with, but they’ll always think outside the box and find even the most minor things that make someone great. This printable resource encourages students to make ‘Sunshine Statements’ about each other to promote positivity and boost morale.
