Crafting Compound Word Books for the Classroom!

Are you on the lookout for some fun compound word activities? Well, you’re in the perfect spot! We have been working hard to create new and interesting compound word printables and games to help your students have fun with their grammar and spelling lessons!

We’re so excited to introduce our newest addition! The compound word mini-book! To make this book, students will identify the compound word represented on each page and then use their spelling skills to spell the new compound word formed on each page.

Making Your Compound Word Booklets

To make these handy compound word books for kids, do the following.

  1. Print the minibook template on standard copy paper, double-sided.
  2. Have students cut apart the pages and stack them in any order, ending with the cover on top.
  3. Staple the books along the left side.
  4. Students will write the compound word shown on each mini-book page and color the pictures.

Once complete, your students will have fun reading and sharing their books inside and outside the classroom.
