Recognize Letters of the Alphabet with Dot-to-Dot Worksheets

Dot-to-dot puzzles are a fantastic teaching tool for early learners. As students connect the dots in the alphabet, they naturally practice their recognition of each of the letters of the alphabet. There is a lowercase and uppercase version allowing for students to practice their recognition of both.

This set of 3 dot-to-dot puzzles has been created by our dedicated teacher team to help your students practice their knowledge of the alphabet. To allow for ample practice – three different designs have been created:

  • Monkey version with both lowercase and uppercase.
  • Robot version with both lowercase and uppercase.
  • Dinosaur version with both lowercase and uppercase.

This resource downloads as a black-and-white PDF.

Ways to Use These Dot-to-Dot Worksheets

These counting by ones dot-to-dot worksheets can be used in various ways in your early years classroom. Here are some suggestions from our teacher team:

  1. Warm-Up Activity – Start your lesson on counting in sequence with a quick dot-to-dot puzzle as a warm-up exercise.
  2. English Group Activity – Use the puzzles during small group instruction. Have students work together to complete the puzzle, promoting collaboration and discussion.
  3. Individual Practice –  Use the puzzles as a quiet and focused independent activity, allowing students to work at their own pace.
  4. Fine Motor Strengthening – Once the puzzle is complete, encourage students to color the revealed image as a means of developing their fine motor skills.
