Constitution Day Activities for the Classroom!
Do you need resources to teach about the United States Government? Maybe you’re prepping for those required Constitution Day activities coming up soon. Regardless of why you need them, we have the background and resources to help your students understand more about the U.S. Constitution.
The No-Prep Bill of Rights Activity You Have to Try!
The Constitution created the U.S. government. The U.S. Constitution is the home of the Bill of Rights…the document that guarantees equal rights to citizens of our great country. We’ve discovered a common opinion in recent conversations with our teacher friends. Government is, by far, one of the most challenging and abstract concepts to teach in elementary school. We’re here to help you do that!
This printable Constitution Day activity is the perfect way to help your students understand what the Bill of Rights does for them when paired with read-aloud, discussions, or reading passages. Using this template, students will research and write about what each of the first ten amendments guarantees in their own words. They will then color and decorate their pennant banner and display them for all to see. You could even have your students draw small pictures to represent each amendment.
