Measurement Conversion Practice

Are you looking for a fun alternative to a standard practice worksheet? Why not give your students some of our math mazes to complete? Students can practice converting customary and metric units of length while having fun simultaneously!

With this printable resource, students can work their way through three different mazes. They must convert each unit of measurement and determine the correct answer, which will lead them through the maze until they reach the end.

UPDATE: We have also developed a version of this resource using metric units. Click the dropdown arrow on the download button to select the ‘Metric Units’ version of this resource.

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to independent student work time, use this worksheet as an activity for:

  • Guided math groups
  • Lesson warm-up
  • Lesson wrap-up
  • Early finishers
  • Homework assignment
  • Whole-class review (via smartboard)

For students looking for a bit of a challenge, have them adapt a dead end by modifying the answers and equations to create an alternate end to the maze.

If students need additional support, invite students to reference previous assignments, posters, or anchor charts. This activity can also be completed in a 1-on-1 setting or with a small group of students.

Use the dropdown icon on the Download button to choose between the PDF or editable Google Slides version of this resource.

Because this resource includes an answer sheet, we recommend you print one copy of the entire file. Then, make photocopies of the blank worksheet for students to complete.

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity by printing on cardstock and slipping it into a dry-erase sleeve. Students can record their answers with a whiteboard marker, then erase and reuse them.
