Learn Customary Units With this Interactive Activity

This interactive activity has been created by a teacher to help students learn the different customer units of measurement to measure mass. Students will practice or show their understanding of the following units: ounce, pound and ton.

In this interactive activity students will complete the following activities:

  • Use the paint can tool to color in true or false to a number of different customary unit statements.
  • Sort ounces and pounds.
  • Move a checkmark to the unit they would use to measure particular items.
  • Drag and drop the word true or false to different statements.
  • Type the customary unit you would use.

Using Interactive Activities in the Classroom

This interactive mass activity is the perfect addition to your math lessons on customary units in early elementary school. This versatile resource can be used as an individual activity, small group activity or as a whole class. These form great warm ups for the whole class before a math lesson and you can focus on just two or three slides each morning. Have open discussions about each activity as a class to really focus on the vocabulary surround customary units of measuring mass.
