Mastering Mass : Fun with Customary Units of Mass

This set of digital task cards has been created by an experienced math teacher to give students the opportunity to put their customary units of mass measurement knowledge into practice. In these interactive task cards, students are prompted to decide between three possible answers. They are provided with an image for example a bear, they then need to pick which would be the most appropriate customary unit of mass, for example – is the bear 5 pounds, 50 pounds or 500 pounds?

Another example is a picture of a slide, students then need to select from the following options:

  • 80 ounces
  • 80 pounds
  • 80 tons

This shows your students understanding of the different customary units of measurement.
