Dictionary Detectives Worksheets

Are you looking for a quick and easy activity to consolidate your students’ knowledge of how to use a dictionary? Look no further than our Dictionary Detectives Worksheets. Get your students to get out those magnifying glasses and go searching for clues with this set of worksheets. These worksheets have been developed by a teacher to help students learn how to find words in a dictionary and identify the guide words and page numbers.

Each worksheet contains a list of words for students to find in the dictionary, along with a space for them to write down the guide words, and page numbers.

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity by printing on cardboard and slipping it into a write-and-wipe sleeve. Students can record their answers with a whiteboard marker, then erase and reuse.
