Teach your students about diphthongs with this set of 23 teaching slides.
Diphthong Vowel Team Lessons Plans – Done! ✔️
A diphthong is a complex vowel sound that begins with one vowel sound and glides into another within the same syllable. Unlike pure vowels, which are single, unchanging sounds, diphthongs are a combination of two vowel sounds. The transition between the two vowel sounds can happen smoothly or quickly.
This set of 23 teaching slides is perfect for your phonics lessons! Created by an experienced teacher, the slides cover the following diphthongs:
- ou
- au
- aw
- oi
- ew
- oy
- ow
- oo
- ue
Each diphthong has examples and activities the students can do in small groups or as a whole class based on your students’ requirements and skill levels.
