What is a Tarsia Puzzle?
Have you heard of Tarsia puzzles? They’re a fun and interactive way to help students understand mathematical concepts! Tarsia puzzles are jigsaw puzzles, but instead of just creating a picture, you put together pieces that contain equations or other mathematical representations to form a larger figure or design. These puzzles reinforce understanding and promote problem-solving skills, making math class more fun!.
Create ‘Well-Rounded’ Math Centers with Tarsia Puzzles
It’s almost Dot Day! You’ve got to drop in some dot-based fun in all subject areas! This tarsia puzzle features 16 individual pieces, each with multiple multiplication facts on it. Students will color and cut apart the pieces, then solve the puzzle by matching equations and answers to form a circle.
Your students will love this new practice activity, or should we say they’ll “have a ball” with it?
