Do you ever feel like there’s just too much news to keep up with? We’ve all been there. But if you’ve got a class full of students who are just as interested in government as you are, it’s hard to keep them on track with their learning when they’re distracted by the latest news in Washington.
That’s why we created this Election Word Wall! It will help your students understand the vocabulary terms they hear floating around on the news and social media, so they can stay focused on what’s important: learning!
The best part is that you can save yourself a ton of time by not having to make this on your own—you just print, cut, hang, and teach (or review) each term once or twice before election day rolls around!
Download a ready-to-print PDF file to get ready for Election Day:
- Print and cut out each word wall card on cardstock. Then, write your vocabulary on the cards.
- Display these themed vocabulary word wall cards in your visible learning classroom.
Alternatively, you can create a custom, printable word wall:
- Click on the blue button and use the Teach Starter Studio to alter the custom word list we have created for this resource. Words can be added and deleted when in the Studio feature.
- Download and print your custom, themed word list.
