Need Ideas for End of School Year Summer Crafts? Try Something New
If you’re searching for end-of-year ideas for your classroom, you’re in the right place! This year, skip the standard Summer Plans poster or coloring sheet and try something new to make a statement about the excitement of the end of the year and summer’s arrival. Let’s make a Summer Beach Blanket!
This Summer Craft Becomes a Quilt! Or Maybe a Fun Beach Blanket!
A paper craft that becomes a quilt? Absolutely! This printable template is the perfect way to engage your students and bring them together to create something unique to display at the end of the school year.
To create a classroom Summer Craft Quilt, your students will
- Think about your plans and what you’d like to do while school is out.
- Draw and write to share your plans and hopes for the summer.
- Color the quilt square in shades of blue, green, yellow, and red.
- Cut out the quilt square and write your name on the back.
- Combine the quilt squares with other classmates and hang them up in rows and columns to look like a handmade quilt.
