Record and reflect on the school year with a three-dimensional end-of-year memory craft project.
End-of-Year Classroom Projects to Reflect on the School Year – Now in 3-D!
Use this craft activity to encourage your students to reflect on their school year with an awesome 3-D dodecahedron craft project.
Students will write and illustrate memories from their school year, reflecting on the following:
- Memorable Moments
- Favorite Things
- Glow and Grow
- About Me
- A Letter to Myself
- Summer Plans
- About My Teacher
- Friends
- Autographs
- A Note from my Teacher
Once students have finished writing and decorating each profile, they’ll cut and assemble them into a 3D End-of-Year Memory Dodecahedron that creatively displays their school year memories.
✂️ Give Them the (Safety) Scissors
This writing assignment makes for a bonus cutting skills activity, depending on your students’ ages and abilities.
With adult supervision, cutting skills help students work multiple muscle groups and their brains, plus:
- Strengthen finger and hand muscles
- Build dexterity and fine motor skills
- Improve hand-eye coordination
- Develop focus and attention
Scissor skills are brain and muscle skills!
