Practice odd and even identification with an exciting game of Kaboom!
👀 Looking for Odd and Even Games?
Understanding odd and even numbers is a concept that students need multiple exposures and practice with. We know this concept seems pretty easy to us; if the number can be divided by two equally, it is even; if there is one remaining, it’s odd. But, for students, this still needs to be practiced through various situations and scenarios. This odd and even number activity has been designed for easy storage and use. We’ve included a label for you to use to identify the game while stored in a cylindrical chip can.
Through this activity, students will demonstrate an understanding of determining if a group of objects is odd or even and if the answer to a sum is odd or even.
How to Play our Kaboom! Game
To play, students will take turns drawing a card from the can and answering the question on the card. If they can answer the question correctly, they get to keep the card. If the student answers incorrectly, the card returns to the can. When a student draws a Kaboom card, all of the student’s earned cards go back into the container. The Kaboom card is then set to the side.
Play continues until all of the question cards have been answered.
