Using Our Index Notation Worksheet

This index notation worksheet is perfect as independent practice, a homework assignment, or as a math centers activity. Here is how students will complete this exponents activity:

  1. Provide students with scissors, glue, the puzzle pieces page, and the template page.
  2. Students will cut the puzzle pieces apart and assemble them on the template page. The goal is to assemble the small triangles so that every side has an expression equivalent to the side next to it.
  3. When the puzzle is complete, students will glue the pieces down onto the template.
  4. If desired, students can consult the answer key before gluing.
