Demonstrate an understanding of multiplication and division fact families with this sorting activity.
Use this teaching resource when your students are learning about multiplication and division fact families.
Print the fishbowls and fish on cardstock. Cut out the fish and store them in a resealable bag so that they can be used over and over again. Slide the fishbowls into a dry erase sleeve so that students can write on them with dry-erase markers.
First, students will find 4 fish that belong in the same fact family and place them inside of a bowl. Then, have them write the three numbers that make up each fact family on the top of the fishbowl. Repeat until all four fishbowls are completed.
This activity works well as a math center activity.
