Fall is in full swing, and it’s time to bring a bit of Fall fun into your math segment!

Fall Color by Number Activities for Math Class Fun!

Through this Fall math activity, students will show they can use addition strategies to add two-digit numbers within 100 by understanding place value and composing 10. These worksheets require students to solve problems involving two-digit addition without regrouping.

Provide each student with a copy of the hidden picture grid and accompanying color key.. Students will also need a sheet of scrap paper or a markerboard to work out each of the problems.

Color by Number Worksheet Scaffolding and Extension

Support students who need help understanding the concepts using base-ten blocks to model the addends. They can also use a number, line, or hundreds chart to help find the sum. 

Challenge fast finishers who already understand the concept to write word problems that practice the addition problems from the task cards.
