Find the Missing Side to Solve the Puzzle!
If you’re looking for an engaging digital alternative to typical perimeter worksheets, then look no further than Teach Starter’s interactive perimeter puzzle!
This interactive resource requires students to use the provided perimeter to find the length of the missing side.
This perimeter with missing sides game consists of a baseboard made up of 9 squares. Each square contains a shape with a missing side length. The students are required to choose a shape, and then use the provided perimeter to calculate the length of the missing side. Then, they’ll find the puzzle piece with the matching side measurement and drag it over the shape. As they move the pieces into the correct place, a mystery picture will reveal itself!
Measurements involve a combination of metric and customary units to ensure that students become familiar with both systems of measurement.
By completing this activity, students will demonstrate their ability to calculate the missing side of a shape when provided with the perimeter.
