Make a Fire Safety Shape Book!

Prepare to fire up your early elementary students during Fire Prevention Week! Our printable Fire Safety Shape Book is a great way to inspire your students to write, draw, and share what they learn about during the week.

Using this resource, students will write and draw to complete a series of sentence frames highlighting the important fire safety facts they remember from their lessons. Once complete, the pages can be cut out and assembled into a fun fire-hydrant-shaped mini-book to share with their friends and family.

Assemble Your Printable Fire Prevention Week Activity

To create your shape book, follow the steps below.

  1. Color and cut out the front and back fire hydrant cover pages.
  2. Complete the writing prompts.
  3. Draw a picture to match each sentence.
  4. Cut out the writing prompt pages. Do not cut off the tab on the side.
  5. Stack the writing prompt pages up neatly.
  6. Put the front and back cover on.
  7. Staple the pages together along the tab.

Once students complete their booklets, have them take them home and share them with their families.
