Sense of Sight Bottles
Using recyclable bottles and filler material (rice, beans, etc.), students will use their sense of sight to search for and find a group of objects hidden in the container.
Sense of Smell Jars
Using small plastic opaque containers or baby food containers, students will use their
sense of smell to identify a group of different smells and rate them from good to bad.
No-Peek Sense of Touch Investigation
Using brown paper bags and touch charts, students will explore their sense of touch by placing their hands in each container to identify the object inside.
Sound Jars Exploration
Using baby food containers and brown paper bags, students will explore their sense of hearing by shaking bags containing different materials and then matching them to the image on their chart.
Sense of Taste – Taste Test!
Students will taste a group of food products (baker’s chocolate, lemon, a cookie, and popcorn) and match them to the correct flavors on their chart. (Sweet, sour, bitter and salty)
