A set of 6 repeating pattern activity cards.
Use this teaching resource with your primary students when teaching how to extend patterns.
How to use this resource:
- Print the pattern cards and the fuzzy friend cards on cardstock to ensure durability. Cut out the fuzzy friend cards and place them in a sealable baggie or container. Place the pattern cards on a binder ring for easy access.
- Students choose a pattern card to complete. They extend the pattern by choosing the correct color fuzzy friend card and place it in the box. Some of the pattern cards ask for the next fuzzy friend, while others ask for the next two.
- If you would like for your students to work on their fine motor skills as well, replace the fuzzy friend cards with a container of pompoms. Students use their thumb and pointer finger to pick up the correct colored pompom and place it inside the box, completing the pattern.
This resource makes a great math center activity!
