Create an odd and even number foldable book to use as a tool during math lessons on odd and even numbers.
Odd and Even Numbers Activity
This template aims to help reinforce their understanding of odd and even numbers by creating mini foldable books of even and odd numbers. The numbers provided go up to 21; however, a blank template can also be used for any number. This is a great way to open up this activity for differentiation by using more challenging, complex numbers and discussing how students can quickly identify if they are odd or even using the last number.
Odd and Even Number Activities
- Create a scavenger hunt around the classroom or school, where students search for numbers and determine if they are odd or even.
- Number line walk – draw a number line on the floor or use a large number line poster. Call out numbers, and students must walk and stand in the correct position to indicate if it’s odd or even.
- Create patterns on the board or use manipulatives, where students have to identify the pattern and continue it using odd or even numbers.
- Create a foldable mini booklet for odd and even numbers using this printable template.
