Teach your students about growth mindset with this printable book, perfect for your social emotional lessons!

A Printable Growth Mindset Book for Elementary Students

As teachers, we at Teach Starter HQ understand how challenging it can be to find high-quality, age-appropriate resources to use in your social-emotional lessons. In our constant pursuit to make planning easier for our members, we’ve created this printable Growth Mindset mini-book specifically for younger students.

While engaging with this printable soil book, students will learn about the following topics:

  • How our brain runs the show and controls everything we choose to do.
  • We can grow our brains by trying hard things, and making mistakes helps to grow our brain muscle.
  • The difference between a fixed mindset and growth mindset.

This resource contains five letter pages. Each page includes two mini-book pages (10 pages in total). To assemble the mini-book, follow these simple steps.

  1. Print out the resource. Create copies as required.
  2. Cut each page along the dotted line.
  3. Compile the pages in order.
  4. Staple the pages along the left-side margin to create a booklet.
  5. Distribute to the students.

This resource is available as a black-and-white PDF or an editable Google Slides file.

Multiple Uses for This Growth Mindset Book for Kids

Looking for ways to incorporate this growth mindset resource in your classroom? Here are one teacher’s suggestions.

  1. Unit Introduction – Providing your students with their own mini-book to explore can be a great way to introduce a new unit of work, as it captures the students’ curiosity and attention.
  2. Reading Group Task – Why not use these mini-books as a collaborative reading group activity? This is a great way to integrate your science and literacy curricula by covering multiple learning outcomes with one resource!
  3. Revision Activity  – Mini-books make great study guides! Before a test or summative assessment for your soil unit, have the students use their mini-books to review key concepts and vocabulary.
