Hello From Around the World👋

Whether you’re a teacher looking for innovative multicultural activities/decorations for celebrating particular days or spending time focusing on learning about the world around us, these pennants have been designed to inspire curiosity, celebrate differences, and ultimately promote a more harmonious world.

With 30 different countries featured, you’re sure to find a good collection of ways to say hello from around the world for your students to learn. Hang the banners up around the classroom as a way to remind your students of all of the different ways you can say hello in other languages.

Activities to Do With this Resource

Exploring the ways to say hello around the world can be a fascinating and educational experience for students, here are some great engaging activities to bring multicultural greetings into your classroom:

  1. Provide students with a world map in the classroom and ask them to mark the countries associated with the greetings featured on the banners.
  2. Invite students to research and present additional information about the countries represented in the greetings.
  3. Pick a few greetings and delve into the corresponding languages. Have a language lesson where students learn basic phrases, including greetings and common expressions from different cultures.
  4. Encourage students to greet each other using different international greetings during the day.
