What Does Character Mean? Kindergarten Nursery Rhyme Lesson Plans

Are you a kindergarten teacher struggling to find engaging and practical resources to help your early readers learn about characters in a story? Look no further! We are excited to introduce our newest resource: the Characters in Humpty Dumpty Teaching Slide Deck.

This interactive and visually-appealing slide show is designed to help young students identify and understand characters in the beloved nursery rhyme, “Humpty Dumpty.” The slide show includes colorful illustrations and interactions that bring the story to life and interactive exercises and activities encouraging students to actively engage with the characters and identify them as people, animals, or things.

The main focus of this slide show is to teach children to differentiate characters from non-characters in Humpty Dumpty and other texts.

Students will love reading the nursery rhyme and interacting with the slides to drag, drop, and sort characters and non-characters in fictional texts. What a fun way to learn the features of print!
