Informative texts describe how and why something works or how and why an event occurs. This informative prompt guides students through researching, planning, and writing an informative text called “Why Do Volcanoes Erupt?” Use this informative writing template as a scaffolded writing activity when teaching your students about informative writing and natural disasters!

To complete the task, the students will need to:

  • research the topic
