Search, Find, and Say the Sounds of Medial /s/

Do you have a student struggling with speech articulation surrounding the sounds of beginning, medial, and final /s/? If so, you’re in the right place! The Teach Starter team has been busy putting together brand-new printable resources for speech teachers, SLPs, and classroom teachers on a mission to differentiate and provide specific instruction for students with special services.

This printable resource pack is the perfect tool for students to use to practice reading, identifying, and articulating the sounds of /s/ when located in the initial, medial, and final position. It includes three printable worksheets, each highlighting the sound of /s/ in a given position. Each worksheet requires students to:

  1. Identify the image shown.
  2. Read the word five times, focusing on articulating the sound of /s/ in the given position.
  3. Mark off each time the word is read. Then, they search through the images and circle or color the words they’ve identified.
