A resource to help students identify the S blend at the beginning of a word.
Print these S Blend Cards, cut them out and then laminate them. Students are required to use a whiteboard marker to write the blend sound at the beginning of the word.
The pictures give a clue about what word they are trying to write. Words include:
string, strong, sprinkler, straight, strawberry, squirrel, squeeze, squeak, square, screen, screw, street, straw, split, splash, spring, spray, sprinkle, scream, scratch, stool, stapler, stamp, spot, spout, spin, spill, sponge, spoon, steak, starfish, star, swat, swing, swim, swan, stove, storm, stop, stereo, skirt, snip, snout, snow, snore, sneeze, snake, snail, skunk, skip, ski, skate, small, smock, smoke, smile, score, scooter, scoop and scarf.
Simply wipe the cards clean and then use them again.
