Our Rounding Game Gets Your Students Moving!
Looking for a fun way to review rounding large numbers that will get your students out of their seats and into learning? Or perhaps you’re on the hunt for an engaging digital activity for your students to use to practice individually? Either way, our interactive “Four Corners” rounding game has got you covered!
This rounding game features numbers up to seven digits and will ask students to round to the nearest:
- Ten
- Hundred
- Thousand
- Ten Thousand
- Hundred Thousand
This digital rounding game includes 24 self-checking questions, and the content addresses multiple math standards in the 3rd and 4th grades.
How to Play This Interactive Rounding Game
Our interactive rounding game is so easy to use! If you are playing it with your whole class, follow these simple instructions:
- Download the file in the format of your choice.
- Put the presentation in “Slideshow” or “Present” mode and display it to the class on your interactive whiteboard.
- Ask students to stand and then flip to the first question.
- Students will read the question and then should travel to the corner of the room that corresponds to what they think is the correct answer on the slide.
- Once all students have chosen their corner, click the answer most students have chosen.
- Discuss why the students were correct or incorrect.
- Repeat!
If you would like students to complete this as an individual practice activity, follow these steps:
- Download the file in the format of your choice.
- Assign the file to students or give them a link.
- Tell students to put the slides in “Slideshow” or “Present” mode.
- Students will read each question and click on the answer. If they are correct, the “You Got It!” screen will appear. They can click anywhere to go to the next question.
- If they are incorrect, the “Try Again!” slide will appear. Students click anywhere to be taken back to the question to try again.
- Students continue until all 24 questions are answered.
