What is a Lapbook?

Lapbooking is a great hands-on way for students to research, learn, or show what they know about a specific topic! It’s basically just a file folder filled with fun little “mini-books” or flaps that contain interesting information about the lapbook topic. They’re hands-on and make any subject a little more fun! Lapbooking is also a great way to reinforce lessons you’ve taught throughout a unit.

📁How to Assemble a Get to Know You Lapbook

Wondering how to assemble a lap book? All you need is a manila folder, a glue stick, and paper or cardstock.

1. Take a manilla folder and open it out, trying to flatten out the crease as much as possible.
2. Fold the left edge into the middle crease.
3. Fold the right edge into the middle crease.
4. Press down on the folds to ensure they are creased.
