Least Common Multiple Worksheet

Why is it important to understand how to find the least common multiple? This skill is essential when adding, subtracting, or comparing fractions. So how do you find the least common multiple, or LCM? As long as your students understand skip counting and their multiplication facts, finding the LCM should be relatively easy! To find the LCM of 2 different numbers, simply list out the multiples of each number and find 

The goal of this resource is to practice determining the least common multiple of a set of given numbers. Students must complete the math worksheet one section at a time and monitor their completion by coloring in the progress bar. There is a checking bar at the end to color in when they finish checking a section for accuracy. 

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!

To extend this resource, allow students to roll numbers using large dice or to use a random number generator online and find the LCM of their numbers. Students can also find the LCM of numbers that are important to them, such as their age and birth month. The page can also be modified to include more challenging number sets.  

For students who need a bit of support, invite them to reference previous assignments, anchor charts, or posters. Additionally, this activity can be completed in a 1-on-1 or small group setting.
